Offering Torma – Buddhist Altar Items from Copper

Offering Torma was handmade by the artisans in Patan, Nepal. Our offering torma is made to traditional specifications. This altar torma is made of bronze alloy and decorated with gilded floral motifs. Decorated with coral and turquoise.

Traditionally, offering tormas are made from barley flour and decorated with buttons made from butter. However, metals such as copper, silver and gold are also used. The benefit of the metal based tormas is that they are more durable than a perishable food torma.
